Was a Chateau ever built on Blanchefort? I climb the hill to investigate.

Also Blanchefort Caves and Tunnel photographs and information.

While looking through my collection of Rennes-le-Chateau photographs and old photos taken during Sauniere's time, I noticed certain changes to Sauniere's domain that were not there when it was completed by the priest. These alterations must have been carried out more recently by someone, so I set out to find out who was responsible and why.

An often neglected church of the priest who heard Sauniere's confession. Apparently he was so shocked by what he heard he didn't smile for a long time. A few months after hearing Sauniere's confession he redecorated his church to include a statue of Jesus lying in a grotto built from similar looking rocks used in Sauniere's Rennes-le-Chateau grotto. The strangest thing is that Jesus has his eyes open!
